Hi Adelina! Here's a review of the past lesson (September 25) and what to practice for the next lesson...

What we covered:

Below are some of the things we discussed:

1) Theory/Glossary:

  • Theory Book - P. 20 "Review"

What to practice:

1) Technique:

  • Always remember - CURVED FINGERS! :)  Never flat, and never, never inverted! :)
2) Method:

  • Lesson Book:
    • p.26 + 27: qn=126. Definitely practice this with metronome! Watch when the L.H. changes.
    • p.28: Watch the L.H. in m.16.
    • p.29: f's and p's; short staccatos.
3) Repertoire/Composition:

  • #1: Spend most of your time on "My Blue Canoe"
  • "Showboat" - If possible, play this a few times with the online play-a-long file
4) Listening:

  • Listen to "My Blue Canoe" online.
5) Internet:

  • Go to your Audio Page and listen to your 3 Lesson Book songs.
See you at your next lesson!   :)
