Suite bergamasque (L. 75) is a piano suite by Claude Debussy, and one of the composer's most famous works for the instrument. He began composing it around 1890, at the age of 28, but significantly revised it just before its 1905 publication.

The composer was initially unwilling to use these relatively early piano compositions because they were not in his mature style, but in 1905 he accepted the offer of a publisher who thought they would be successful, given the fame Debussy had gained in the intervening fifteen years. While it is not known how much of the Suite was written in 1890 and how much was written in 1905, it is clear that Debussy changed the names of at least two of the pieces. "Passepied" had first been composed under the title "Pavane", while "Clair de lune" was originally entitled "Promenade sentimentale". These names come from poems by Paul Verlaine. The title of the third movement of Suite bergamasque is taken from Verlaine's poem "Clair de lune", which refers to bergamasks in the opening stanza.

Suite bergamasque consists of four movements:
Prélude (Moderato tempo rubato, F major, 4/4)
Menuet (Andante, A minor, 3/4)
Clair de lune (Andante très expressif, D♭ major, 9/8)
Passepied (Allegretto ma non troppo, F♯ minor, 4/4)

Domenico Scarlatti (1685 - 1757): SONATA IN B MINOR (K87/L33) Domenico Scarlatti was an Italian composer who spent much of his life in the service of the Portuguese and Spanish royal families. His music was influential in the development of the Classical style and he was one of the few Baroque composers to transition into the classical period. Like his renowned father Alessandro Scarlatti, he composed in a variety of musical forms, although today he is known mainly for his 555 keyboard sonatas.
Only a fraction of his compositions were published during his lifetime; Scarlatti himself seems to have overseen the publication in 1738 of the most famous collection, his 30 Essercizi ('Exercises')...well received throughout Europe, and championed by the foremost English writer on music of the eighteenth century, Charles Burney. Ralph Kirkpatrick numbered these sonatas K1 - K30. Those unpublished during his lifetime have appeared in print irregularly in the two and a half centuries since.

The Consolations (German Tröstungen) are a set of six solo piano works by Franz Liszt. The compositions take the musical style of Nocturnes with each having its own distinctive style. Each Consolation is composed in either the key of E major or D♭ major. E major is a key regularly used by Liszt for religious themes. There exist two versions of the Consolations. The first (S.171a) was composed by Liszt between 1844 and 1849 and published in 1992 by G. Henle Verlag. The second (S.172) was composed between 1849 and 1850 and published in 1850 by Breitkopf & Härtel, containing the familiar Consolation No. 3, Lento placido, in D♭ major.

George Gershwin's 1917 novelty rag Rialto Ripples was his first published instrumental, and was a commercial success. It has all the hallmarks of Gershwin's piano style, with stride left hand patterns and ragtime syncopation typical of that era.
(4 to 5-note chords in both hands and scales in octaves in both hands.)
Rialto Ripples is George Gershwin's first published instrumental and his only piano rag. It has all the hallmarks of Gershwin's piano style merging ragtime with a piano novelty number. It's fun, delightful, a toe-tapper, and smile-maker.
