1) Theory/Glossary:

  • Legato, Slur, Tenuto, Staccato

What to practice:

1) Technique:

  • Always, always take a deep breath before you play.
  • Play with your bell parallel to the floor.
  • Remember to rest as much as you play.
2) Method:

  • Practice your Expanding Long Tones.
  • Practice your C Scale (page 28)
    • half notes full value
    • use the 'tah' syllable (be 'precise' and deliberate when you 'say' tah into the mouthpiece/horn.
3) Repertoire/Composition:

  • None at this time.

  • None at this time.
